K Cups are certainly on the move this week and besides heading for Starbucks, it has been announced that grocery chain Kroger is stepping into the market.
Kroger will offer their own brand of K Cup single coffee servings compatible with Keurig brewers. This is another example of how powerful the once small, single cup brewing niche has become.
Consumers are beginning to understand that they can have high quality single brewed coffee in their homes and offices without paying such a high price in both cost and convenience.
Coffee industry insiders wonder if the increased competition among K Cup manufacturers will squeeze the profits right out of their beans along with that rich coffee taste.
